History

To provide quality education to the needy people a Cheran Foundation Trust was established in 1991 to serve the community of ‘Perur’ village in Coimbatore district and ‘Kangeyam’taluk in Tirupur. To cherish the motive of the trust of the institution in the year 2000, Cheran College of Technology was established in Kangeyam affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. Under the efficient Chairmanship of Mr. K.C. Palanisamy and the prominent Secretaryship of the Founder (late) Mrs. Soundari Palanisamy, the College has blossomed with full academic rich culture.

Cheran College of Technology goes beyond the classroom, to a place where experience is the teacher. Beyond problems to solutions that address social, technical and economic needs. Beyond the laboratory, to the research that propels industries, organizations and society. In CCT we focus more on the forefront of innovation and its home to transformational research and inspired learning. Located in the heart of Tirupur Textiles Industry and technology hub, we are growing a network of global partnerships that will shape the future by working beyond disciplines and building bridges with industry, institutions and communities.

To compete and enrich the computer skills and to extend the horizon of computer science knowledge, B.E. (Computer Science) programs were started in 2023. To create exciting avenues to explore ideas from mobile phone to fiber optics B.E. (Electronics & Communication Engineering) was initiated in the year 2023. B.E. The Manchester of South India, Kangeyam and Tirupur, has the extensive Machine industries; to feed the machinery sector catering to voluminous demands in the international market
